|State Building Code Information||The State of Illinois has adopted the 2009 International Buidling Code (2009 IBC), the 2009 International Fire Code (2009 IFC), the 2009 International Mechanical Code (2009 IMC), the 2009 International Fuel Gas Code (2009 IFGC), the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code (2009 IECC), the 2009 International Property Maintenance Code (2009 IPMC) and the 2009 International Existing Building Code (2009 IEBC), statewide with the International Residential Code, International Plumbing Code, the International Private Sewage Disposal Code, the International Code Council Performance Code, International Urban-Wildlife Interface Code, and the International Zoning Code being adopted by local governments.
Supplement for commercial structures statewide. IBC, IFC, IMC, IFGC, IPMC, IECC, IEBC for IL Board of Edu Facilities (other than vehicular), but do not apply to Chicago. IBC adopted by Dept of Health for hospitals where local codes do not apply. The Illinois Energy Conservation Code is based on the 2009 IECC.
