State Licensing

State license required for commercial jobs over $100,000, city or county jobs over $50,000.  Electricians are not currently required to be licensed on a statewide level in Mississippi. Check with your local jurisdiction, such as the City of Jackson, for local licensing requirements.

Applicability (statewide, local, limited): LIMITED

Codes are adopted at the local level.  Local jurisdictions which adopt codes must currently adopt either the 2018, 2015, or 2012 edition of the International Codes (within the three latest editions of the International Codes), or they may opt out.
