Make sure you provide the building department with a good vicinity map when you apply for your building permits, showing the major roads to get to your property.
You will need to have an accurate map and directions for your many subcontractors and suppliers anyway. Might as well get started early with good communications.
Consider if an inspector is running late for the day. If he has good directions on how to find your project site, it might make a difference whether he is able to make it that day or will have to wait until the following day to make your inspection.
