Retail Permitting Win for Hibbett Sports Trussville, AL

When opening its new 4,492-square-foot location in Trussville, Alabama, Hibbett Sports Trussville turned to Permit Place to expedite the building permit review process. This project was part of a more extensive national rollout program we were supporting.

Challenge

Unlike other projects where Permit Place is involved early in the planning phase, Hibbett Sports provided a comprehensive submittal package at the outset. While not a bad thing, this presented a unique challenge. Permit Place was not only tasked with completing a meticulous due diligence report but also had to simultaneously conduct quality control on the provided documentation and prepare the submittal application.

Amid these challenges for Hibbett Sports Trussville, our biggest asset was the close relationship we established with the city staff. Effective communication was key. The results spoke for themselves—where we initially estimated an approval time of 30 business days, we were thrilled to achieve first-round approval in just 6 business days.
