| State Building Code | The State of Georgia as adopted the GA State Minimum Standard Building Code (in reference to 2012 International Building Code, IBC), the GA State Minimum Code One and Two Family Dwellings Code (in reference to 2012 International Residential Code, IRC), the GA State Minimum Standard Mechanical Code (in reference to 2012 International Mechanical Code, IMC), the GA Minimum Standard Plumbing Code (in reference to 2012 International Plumbing Code, IPC), and the GA Minimum Standard Electrical Code (in reference to 2017 National Electrical Code, NEC).
Georgia has a mandatory and statewide building code covering all building construction in the state. Enforcement of the code is up to local jurisdiction. |
